The four numbers, explained
Life path (Western numerology) reduces the year, month and day separately, then adds them and reduces again, keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33. Example: 15 Feb 2022 → year 2+0+2+2 = 6, month 2, day 1+5 = 6; 6+2+6 = 14 → 5.
Mulank (Indian / Vedic practice), also called the psychic or root number, is just your birth day reduced: born on the 15th → 1+5 = 6.
Bhagyank, the destiny number, adds every digit of the full date: 15-02-2022 → 1+5+0+2+2+0+2+2 = 14 → 5.
Personal year combines your birth day and month with the current year and is used for yearly forecasts.
The Lo Shu grid
The Lo Shu is a 3×3 magic square from Chinese tradition in which every row, column and diagonal adds to 15. Numerologists place each digit of your birth date in its square: repeated digits are read as strengths, empty squares as "missing numbers" — qualities to develop.
